Michael Czaszwicz
Michael’s career in audio began with a four track that he bought from an Elvis impersonator in 1995. While recording his friends' punk bands in the basement of his childhood home, Michael got a taste for the creative process of songwriting, producing and recording.
While studying Business Administration at DePaul University, Michael began his internship at Uber Studio. As Michael continued interning, he began to realize that he wanted to focus exclusively on recording. He transferred to Columbia College where he graduated with a degree from the Sound Recording Program in 2001. Both the hands-on experience of interning at a working studio and the in-depth experiences offered at Colombia have provided Michael with an arsenal of knowledge in the recording field.
As his confidence grew, Michael began freelancing in studios around Chicago and shortly after, Timothy Powell of Metro Mobile Location Recording, started calling. Timothy has giving Michael the opportunity to work on some of the most high profile and technologically advanced recordings and broadcasts in the nation. In addition to being a studio engineer and a location engineer, Mike also designs and builds recording studios. He is currently building a recording studio for the Croatian Community Center.
